What a surreal experience this has been.

First, I want to thank GOD. Throughout this campaign, my prayer was simple: if this was HIS plan for me, let the outcome make that clear.

I want to commend Commissioner Ehemann for running a good race. At no point during this campaign did I ever feel like I was ahead. I always felt like I needed to be doing more.

I also want to thank Ethan Pollard for operating my campaign Facebook page. He spent countless hours sending me your questions to answer and your comments to respond to.

I want to thank Sheriff Frye because, without him, this campaign never would have started. His advice was often sought, freely given, and always insightful. Shelby County is truly blessed to have a constitutional patriot serving as Sheriff.

Next, I want to thank Tom Frantz for stepping up and serving as my treasurer. I could not have gotten through this campaign without his assistance. I also want to thank him for his support because I know simply having his name associated with my campaign was a blessing.

I want to thank Wes Farno for his advice and guidance in helping get this campaign started.

I want to thank Dave and Sanna Aikin for all their time getting signs out when I couldn’t. They were also a tremendous help in arranging meetings with the Right to Life community, who are truly doing GOD’s work by protecting the most vulnerable people in our world today — children in the womb.

I also want to specifically thank Mr. and Mrs. Schmiesing for their advice, guidance, and support, as well as Shae Gaier for her support.

I want to thank John Adams for his support and advice. “Tell a story” were truly words of wisdom, and I carried that with me throughout the rest of the campaign. Thank you, sir.

Finally, I want to give my heartfelt thanks to all of the voters who were willing to take a chance on someone new. I especially want to thank all the people who endured time talking with me at their front doors. Those conversations kept me connected to what you felt were the most important issues facing the grassroots people who truly make this county — and this country — great.

For those of you who did not vote for me, I hope to win your trust by doing a good job. We are all Shelby County.

Throughout my career in law enforcement, I have had three great fears: putting an innocent person in jail or prison, hurting someone innocent, and letting down the people who depend on me. That last fear will carry over into my next role as one of your County Commissioners.

Thank you all.

About Me

I am a strong constitutional conservative. My core values are God, family, community, and country — in that order. With my background at the Sheriff's Office for 32 years I bring experience in planning for disasters natural, or man-made. I have been training law enforcement to be better officers and instructing civilians to be better prepared, constitutionally minded citizens ready to preserve our way of life.
